Hi Zanussi

Welcome..

We may have sailed together as I was 2/O on board the O'Brien in 77 when the Capt Smith joined in Savonna.

Ron - probably have the wrong man but I joined JEOB as a deck cadet in Europort in August 1977, were you just leaving to do something with Fire maintenance ashore?

Hi Shipahoy
Thanks for your response. In the light of your info we must have met, if only briefly, but some 40 years later I do not have a clear recollection!!!
Also I have since put my sea time journal so safely I cannot just put my hands on it at this time.
On the Chevron link there is the only photo I took. Which was the fore deck when the Durban deck maintenance were on board.
Regards

Ron
