hms london australian sas 1965

during the confrontation i was in the gunners party (very ord seaman ) when boxes of jungle greens arrived and i carted and unpacked them in the gunners store and when i asked p.o.g.i. larder "whats this all about"the answer was "mind your own"days later a group of australian s.a.s. embarked and a couple were in the store sorting out the greens- ammunition- packs of whatever- i remember they favored remington shotguns ,so i asked them "who are you" and they told me,remember this was long before most people had any understanding of these blokes.days later we sailed with them onboard and the next night i helped them with their gear to the after heads flat which was below the flight deck then the hatch was opened and they all piled into the wessex never to be seen by us again.anyone on the london have any idea what that was about i can guess but am i correct.footnote there were leftover greens and i still have the knee high boots back in the ol dart at my parents place.

No probs Will,
If you want to follow it a bit further you could try the Australian War Museum. http://www.awm.gov.au/units/unit_218...frontation.asp

There are some links at the bottom of the page that could be of use to you,
Cheers
Frank
