Peter Green

I have just read on the BBC website that Peter Green, one of the founders of Fleetwood Mac, passed away in his sleep, aged 73. Another great from my youth sadly no longer with us.

You are right,- a very gifted and talented musician and writer and also a tormented soul for much of his life. His life story is avery goof read if the music industry interests you. I play his C.D.'s regularly and appreciate his talents on electric guitar.

One of my favourites. From Fleetwood Mac to his Splinter group. He made a number of albums. All excellent.

RIP.

I remember the fuss when Albatros was released because it didn't sound anything like an Elmore James item. Now Albatros must be one of the most widely known, and possibly loved, pieces of music in my lifetime. Looking back to one of their performances at Manchester's Free Trade Hall when I heard Albatros for the first time is like yesterday in my mind. Thanks for the music Peter and RIP.
