Good evening all

Im after Images or other information for the vessel Edirne which sunk off Alderney on the 30th Jan 1950.

Launch date: February 1944
Gross: 3619 tons
Built: 1944
Owner: T.C. Munakalat Vekaleti Devlet Denizyollari
Yard no.: 294

She was en route from Tekirdag in Turkey to Elsinore in Denmark with cargo of 4500 tons of cattle food

The build date caused a problem however this is your ship.

Built 1948 by Oskarshamus Varv Oskershamn - Yard No294 as TRABZON.
Cargo - Turkey.
3653 tons.
L104.5m x B14.9m.
Single screw compound engine.

Launched as IDUNA.

Name Change:
1949 EDIRNE.

Wrecked Burhou Channel 29.1.1950 and sank under tow 2nm NW Alderney LH 30.1.1950. Voyage Tekirdag - Korsor.
