Very Belated Welcome

Ivor,

A warm, but belated, welcome aboard from the Isle of Anglesey!
I see you have been a member for some time and I hope you are thoroughly enjoying SN.
Now that you've taken the plunge, keep posting.

There are some photographs and details of DRYDEN (and as FREEMANTLE STAR) on this page in our SN Gallery and also some more photographs on this page.

Dryden, built in 1944 by Lithgows Ltd. Port Glasgow as Empire Haig, for Ministry of War Transport (Ellerman Wilson) 1946 to Lamport & Holt renamed Dryden.
1952 to Blue Star Line renamed Freemantle Star, 1956 Catalina Star, 1963 bareboat chartered to L&H renamed Devis, sold to L&H 1966-1969. then sold to Bry Overseas Nav Ltd renamed Mondica, arrived Kaohsiung 23.12.1969 for demolition. Not a bad record earned her crust for 25 yrs, ok for a wartime built vessel.
Welcome Ivor enjoy the trip on here.
