Captain Steven L. Bennett.

Can anyone post, or guide me to, a photo of the U.S. Military Sealift Command vessel "Captain Steven L. Bennett". She was apparently sold to Sealift Inc., United States in 1997 - previously "Sea Pride", "Martha II", "TNT Express" .... container/bulk ship 29,223 grt built 1984, Samsung Shipbuilding & Heavy Industries Co.Ltd., Koje, South Korea.

Thanks
--------------
Mike.

Theres a (small) photo of her on the Hazegray site. Click US Navy and follow the links for ship types.

Bob -

Many thanks indeed for that, much appreciated!! I was Master of her (as "TNT Express") from her maiden voyage in 1984 until her demise with Australian manning in 1991. I knew what had happened to her but hadn't seen a recent photo - thanks again for your very prompt response!

Hi Mike
Have a look at these sites:
http://www.msc.navy.mil/inventory/sh...=ContainerShip
http://www.globalsecurity.org/milita...p/tak-4296.htm
http://www.msc.navy.mil/inventory/citations/bennett.htm

The last site is about the person himself. I included it, just in case.

Also if you type in the name on the Goggle search engine, like I did, there are a lot of sites concerning this person.

Hope this has been helpful

Regards
Karl
