Welcome from Nova Scotia, beware, this site is addictive and could cause sleep deprevation, shortness of available working hours and occasional high blood pressure.
Enjoy

Welcome

Craig,

A warm welcome to SN from Anglesey!
I hope you thoroughly enjoy the SN experience and get many happy hours entertainment from your membership.
Interesting to see your current profession - there are quite a few members of HM Coastguard on SN, myself included!

the Canadian Coast guard does all sorts of interesting things like icebreakers, navigational aids and hydrographic work.
Don't think its the same as H.M.Coastguard.

Greetings again after some 30 Years

Craig Mon Brave,

We sailed together in Regent back in 1976, you were CTO and I was Navs. The old man was Wee Angus Paterson. AsI remeber it it was shortly after that you made your move to Canada following our visits to Halifax and Sydney.

Aye

Pat Thompson

Fair point lakercapt!

We don't have much call for icebreakers, Trinity House and Northern Lights look after most of the navaids and we have the RN Hydrographers as well.

We do lots of other stuff, but I'd need to shoot you if I told you what it was!
