I was with BP from 1966 to 71 (Deck) and the name rings bells. I either met him on board or heard a Sparks talking about him but afraid I cannot help. Hopefully someone on here knows something.

After Bill retired (around mid seventies) and was replaced with John Stocker(spelling dubious) he seemed to disappear, although I have a vague recollection of him being on some committee for a few years. If he is still around must be a fair age by now.

Agree about both John Stocker and Dave Bowman being gents. Had the pleasure of working with them both when I was a Marine Service Manager at Redifon when I had to work with them to organise repairs and spares for our part of the fleet. Seem to remember Dave moved with BPTC when the left Harlow and went to Hemel Hempstead.
