Peter Slater - Electrician

I have been told that Peter Slater has died at the age of 74. Does anybody else know if this is true. I last sailed with Peter on the British Test in 1977. He used to live in Peterlee, County Durham.

John

I thought I had some comment to this post a couple of hours ago, do not know where that went. So I'll try again.

I know nothing about Peter R Slater's death but know something of his extensive BP career
The earliest I found him was on the Premier 3/63 and the latest on the Mokran 4/1981 with fellow Leckie A Waugh. He possibly sailed longer with BP but to date I have no further info.

You were certainly with him on the Test Sept 1977 (Aussie/NZ Coast) also the following;

Paul Spires CE, still around as far as I know ,Tynside
Stuart Andrew 2E ( as well as you), still in Vancouver I think.
Mike Christian JE, I know he is around.

Graham

Paul Spires name appeared on the list for the evening event marking the 100 year celebration.
