Hello to ships nostalgia, I'm an ex Shell Tankers engineer now retired on Tyneside, and an avid model maker.

Smile Welcome

John,

A warm welcome to SN from the Isle of Anglesey.
There are plenty of SN members who share your particular interest so, have a good look round and join in the banter as much as possible.
Beware, it is addictive!

John
Welcome aboard. I'm working (slowly) on a model of a fictional Shell tanker STS 'Dilysia' in 1/150 scale from plans by Vic Smeed. It is very similar to the older 'D' class tankers from the late 1930's. Also have plans for the four tankers I sailed on in the sixties - 'Davila', 'Ninella', 'Axina' and 'Rita' and intend to build models at some point. Look forward to your postings.
Cheers
