Eagle Oil & Shipping

Hello

I live in France and joined today. I have just inherited some family photos and memorabilia including a line drawing of one of the San ships. My late father served on tankers from 1928 until the end of WW2. Would anyone be interested in photos and if so which forum should I use? He was on Arctic and Atlantic convoys and was also torpedoed.

Hello Susannah,

Welcome on board.

My late Dad also served in the Eagle Oil in WWII. He was also torpedoed shortly after his 21st birthday in 1943. When you have found your way around this great site, you will see a vast gallery of photos, including a section for oil tankers. You can upload any images there. One former member, Stan Mayes, was an ex Eagle Oil man too, and you can find a record of his experiences in the Encyclopedia section .

Regards,

Roy.
