In the Auckland area - we are very active, and have two BBQ's per annum - Christmas and also a Mid Winter BBQ. We also have mini-reunions once a year - this year in Bay of Islands and next one planned for South Island.

The Society has its own logo-styled Society Merchandise, and we produce a twice yearly newsletter.

Hi Jamie, tried that SS link you've posted, looks like it links direct to a wine merchant?

Joe,
I noticed this about3/4 months ago.they have a company name of Shaws Avill Ships and a web address of:- shawsacillships.co.uk, seems to me that they have hi-jacked the domain name or web address, all very odd!! I emailed wine merchant, but they did,nt reply ,its a great pity as it was an excellent Shaw Savill site

Hi Noel

Unfortunately the website for Shaw Savill ships has been deleted - no idea why but there are other websites showing Shaw Savill ships and histories ~ use search engines to locate which ship (s) you are interested .
I am NZ membership secretary for Shaw Savill Society ~ membership stands at $20 per annum / per family.
Our next National Reunion will be held in Hamilton 25-27April 2014.
If you wish to join ~ will be happy to send our membership application towards the end of current year (I am overseas till November)
Society email is [email protected]
Cheers Jamie
