Identify ship at New London ca. 1900

I'm pretty confident these photos were taken at New London, CT between 1900 and 1905. Can anyone identify this large ship, or even tell me what kind it is?

Large passenger/freight... about 10,000 grt. or 13,000 grt.

The photo might be taken at Camden CT. Shipbuilder: New York Shipbuilding Corp.

Similar design to the 1903 built MINNEKAHDA.

So you think it's still being built? That's why there aren't any stacks?

Definitely!

The style showing the mast arrangement is similar as the others but I can't nail this one down. If you have a CT location it must have ben one from New York Shipbuilding Corp.

I'm a little confused. Wasn't their facility in Camden, NJ?

The reason I think it's taken at New London, is because the person taking the photo had a summer home on Fisher's Island, and kept his yacht at New London for traveling to the island. The photos are grouped with others of Fisher's Island, Block Island, and New London. However, he did rarely take the yacht to the Hudson River, and possibly as far south as New Jersey.

Drat! I was looking for something smaller and she was 20,600 grt!

ss MINNESOTA b. 1904 Scrapped 1924

s.s. DAKOTA b. 1905 Wrecked 1907

Identical ships. Take your pick. Sistership and built Eastern Shipbuilding Co., New London.
