I was on the "HADRA" from June1956 to June 1957. Although it was my only one with Shell, I can't forget it as it was my first trip at 16yrs of age. Have just recently obtained full voyage record with all ports of call. Didn't half bring back some memories.

Allan,

Look in the 'Directories' section of this site.

Details of where ships called are held on Voyage Record Cards by London's Guildhall Museum Library. See

G'day out there.

Served as an Apprentice with Anglo-Saxon 1952- 1956 by which time it was Shell Tankers. Velletia, Naninia, Hyalina, Tenagodus, Nuculana and finally Rosa out in Trinidad, secunded to Trinidad Asphalt Co. As one reads in other threads times where quite exciting then and quite pleasant, most of the time, with just the odd exception. But that was a long time ago.

Glyn.

Hi Shell fans, I have a friend who's father served with Shell UK. His name was Captain Robert "Bob" Birdsall. I know among others he was on ships - Amastra, Otina, Empire Flint, Solarium, Adula and Cardium. Anyone know him or the ships please. Thanks
