Unidentified WW2 shipwreck - search by cargo?

I’m trying to identify a mystery wreck off Florida that we believe is an armed freighter (stern deck gun) carrying sulfur. Does anyone perhaps have a digitized version of Arthur Moore’s “Careless Word - Needless Sinking” that could help compile a suspect list of vessels that fit this description? Or perhaps some other database that allows you to list parameters on vessel size, cargo, armed/unarmed, etc.
Given the location, we think this vessel was attacked elsewhere and stayed afloat in the Gulf Stream. Conversely, it was a vessel lost with all hands that somehow was not documented in German war records either.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
