I am trying to make a fleetlist of the ships that traded with the funnelcolors of Guinea Gulf. After the takeover by Elder Dempster in 1965, the original fleet of 4 ships was sold and 6 1947/48 built S-class vessels (Shonga a.o) were transferred by Elder Dempster to GGL, renamed Maradi, Malla, Matru etc.) They were sold in 1967/68 and 3 former British & Burmese vessels were transferred, Daru, Pegu and Bhamo. Furthermore ED herself transferred Freetown and (according to one source) Kumba. However I doubt whether this is correct. The last vessel trading with GGL colours was Sherbro (1974), from 1981 till 1984. I sincerely hope that someone could comment on this and let me know whether the above is correct and complete or that more ED-ships traded with GGL funnelcolors.
