Cybersecurity issues of PCs in a ship

Use of computer has been increasing in all areas for some time now. This is no different in the case of ships. Computers have been taking over a lot of jobs around a ship. In my experience computers are one of the most vulnerable machines. Last week most of the computers in our company were hacked even though they were not able to get any data, the hack was enough to stop our work for a day. We had to consult a cybersecurity consulting company because of this.

I am ship enthusiast and often travel with them. But I am worried about them now. If the computers can easily be hacked and they are an integral part of a ship can it be easily hacked? As a regular traveler, I am actually worried. What are your opinions about this?
