MS Devonia

Hi, Iwas on what i believe to be the last voyage of the MS Devonia before she was sold for scrap to India. As a child of around 10 or eleven I was in a children’s home called the Gryffe Home in Renfrewshire in Scotland. We along with a mixed group of girls and boys were taken on a cruise around Norway Denmark and passing through the Kiel canal in Germany. It was very heavy weather and took us four days before we first docked most of which i spent heaving over the side and feeling very sorry for myself. Once i gained my sea legs however I had a fantastic time exploring the ship and talking to the crew. It was such a short yet memorable time and I believe I had my first wee “Girlfriend” although sadly I cannot remember her name. If anyone was on that cruise I’d like to say hello. all the best for now.Rab B
