Question Northern Star voyage 18

Hi everyone. I travelled from Southampton to New Zealand as a five year old on board S.S. Northern Star with Captain L. H. Edmeads Commanding voyage No 18. I hope someone will be able to help me confirm various dates from the trip. Here is what I have.

Depart SOUTHAMPTON Monday 24th October 1966 (according to memory).
Arrive LAS PALMAS, CANARY ISLANDS approx. Friday 28th October 1966?
CROSSING THE LINE pool celebrations approx. Wednesday 2nd November 1966?
Landfall Dinner Cape Town Tuesday 8th November 1966 (according to ship's menu).
Arrive CAPE TOWN approx. Thursday 10th November 1966?
Arrive DURBAN approx. Sunday 13th October 1966?
Fancy Dress Dinner Saturday 19th November 1966 (according to ship's menu).
Landfall Dinner Fremantle Monday 21st November 1966?
Arrive FREMANTLE Wednesday 23rd November 1966 (according to Identity Document stamp).
Arrive MELBOURNE Sunday 27th November 1966 (according to ship's itinerary note).
Arrive SYDNEY Wednesday 30th November 1966 (according to ship's itinerary note).
Arrive WELLINGTON Monday 5th December 1966 (according to Identity Document stamp).

Any updates, corrections or memories of voyage 18 gratefully received!

Cheers,
Les

Les, according to the records I have, NS sailed from Soton on voyage 18 on 27 October 1966 and would have called at Las Palmas on 31 October. Your other dates seem to fit in with documentation you have.

Hi Graham, thanks for the update. Mum thought we had started our voyage on a Monday; I was five at the time so wouldn't know what day we departed. I did think it unusual the number of days it took to reach Cape Town but your revised Southampton departure to Thursday 27th makes the Cape Town dates fall into line much better. Much appreciated, thank you. Les.
