Sorry to hear that Malcolm Thompson, ex Denholm Master, passed away this day, 1st January, at Stornoway,Isle of Lewis.

So very sorry to hear that Angus , sailed with him quite a few times and also when I came ashore with Cast and Malcolm came to us as Master.

If you are able , kindly pass my condolences to his family.

Thanks Angus. Malcom was a fine gentleman. I was able to sail with him for four months in Loch Lomond, 1977. RIP.

malcolm thompson

was that the malcolm thompson that sailed on the crinan as instructor in january 1963 roddie mackenzie was senior apprentice. if so he was a gentleman R I P.

Sailed with him on the Loch Long and again on the Star Bay and he was a gentleman. Sorry to hear of his passing my condolences to his family

Calum(Malcolm) Thompson

So sorry to learn of Captain Thompson's passing. Happy memories of my time sailing with him on the "Wellpark"and the pleasure of Mrs. Thompson's company aboard, along with young Calum, in the summer of 1982. Where do the years go ?

Nice man,met him in the Tees,circa 62 or 63,Craigallian or Crinan I think.

Geoff , could be the Crinan jan '64 Middlesbrough . He was instructor .
