M V Beechmore

Hello to all you "OLD" Furness/Prince Line hands.
A name came to mind recently and I thought I'd toss it out to see if it rings any bells.
Bunny Austin Ch.Stwd.He was on the Beechmore 1959/60 when I was in my first year as a Cadet on her, along with Mick Smalldon and Tony Smith, and as perpetually hungry teenagers he kept us well fed,and able to contend with the horrendious work pattern set by Noel Land the Mate from hell, who when I sailed with him when I was 4th Mate seemed quite a good fellow.
The Master was Glynn Roberts from N Wales.
In the course of the year I was on her we did a Medi trip, and 4 Gt.Lakes transits.
