I see on the photo it says 1980, which tallies since I joined Balder Mandal in Halifax 1986 and we towed the Hudson to Leith where it became the British Viking.

Hi..joined ITM Installer as dive tech in 1986 alongside Den Helder. Harry Cole skipper, Trevor Gainer and Sandy Murphy chiefs. Ray Jordan, Stan Beckett and Grouty all spring to mind...still at sea...dive chief on Deep Arctic

The Balder Hudson/British Viking/Seahorse Spirit was scrapped at Alang in India in August 2016.

I was on the maiden voyage of Autoroute when it was damaged in a hurricane off Yokohama resulting in another 3 weeks in Japan!

There is the usual bi monthly meeting to swing the lamp on our car boat days at the 'Minerva' public house overlooking the River Humber near the old Hull to New Holland Ferry pier.Time about 1330 until the last man standing!Come and join us we usual attract about 15 or so Old Shipmates ..Gatherings take place at the same venue 1st Thursday in every Even month..ie Feb,April,June,August,October and December.

Please note our reunions are every 2 month..The First Thursday in every Even month ie next meeting is December 6th at the Minerva pub overlooking the River Humber Hull at about 1330..
We had a gathering there yesterday and 17 attended ..Everyone is welcome..

Another reunion

Please note the next 'carboat club' will be meeting up to swing the lamp,Last gathering we managed 20+ So if you want a chin wag and meet up with old shipmates..Minerva pub near the pier at 1330 February 7th ..
