hello,
Who am I ,like hundreds of other BP Tanker men I spent time with the shipping fleet from cadet to Chief /officer,then came ashore to work on the Newly built Hound Point terminal in Scotland at the start of the first North sea oil. Stayed till I retired after 37 years of BP.Also I was a lifeboat cox /training DLA with Queensferry boat for 28 years.I am now sailing as mate on the steam ship Shieldhall of Glasgow.shes a retired Clyde Sludge
carrier,see her on the internet always looking for more help.

Welcome to SN. You will find the experience most interesting.

Only discharged at Hound Point once from Burmah Pearl - back in '80, I think.
My next experiences in your neck of the woods was when I started work at Fifeness in '81.
I wish I had a for every person you must have taken off Cramond Island in your RNLI service!
Good luck with Shieldhall - a very worthy project!
