Ahoy there shipmates

My Grandad served aboard J&C Harrison ships in the 30's and 40's I would like to find out more about the firm and the ships he served on, if anyone could help I would gratefull.

I am a simple landlubber from Manchester

Hi Rob

Welcome to the site. There is a very interesting book about TJH's called "Harrisons of Liverpool" by Graeme Cubbin and published by the World Ship Society/Ships in Focus Publications. 'Fraid its not cheap but could someone owe you a good Xmas pressie. Not only does in have historical records but also more personal anicdotes.

I would recomend it to anybody, no I'm not on commission.

hi robert welcome on board,there is allso a cheaper book available, merchant fleets thos.&jas. harrisons by, duncan haws, a good information source on harrisons.regards edward.
