Hi to all...I love the sea, some years ago sailed multiple times Cali-Hawaii and back, 41" ketch, 36" Choate Sloop, Santa Cruz 50, also Maine aboard Swan 47....am currently doing a fiction writing project which involves baldhead lumber schooners and ship assist tugs on the Olympic Peninsula, especially Grays Harbor circa 1920s-30s. I've been stockpiling all the books I can find (such as Jim Gibbs and Ed Van Syckle)....I recently was very happy to visit the "C.A. Thayer" in the San Francisco Maritime Museum, the last of the "baldheads", built by the Master Bendixsen of Northern California. I would appreciate any website, periodical, book, photo or personal experience dealing with especially the later, i.e. 1900-1930 lumber schooners and the tugs on the NW coast that brought them through the nasty inlets of the Pacific
