Oh, dear! Missed that.
My wife has just mentioned that he had been ill for some time.

Oddly enough.... He crossed my mind a few weeks ago....... For no apparent reason.

I knew he had been extremely ill for so long........ I wondered how he was coping.

Along with Jonathan Miller who also died today........the kind of intellectual I could always listen to......though..
..certainly not identify with..... 🙂

A sad day.......

Not to forget Gary Rhodes..... One of the more palatable (no pun intended) of the TV chefs

RIP to all three.

Clive James used to host that TV show which took the piss out of those Japanese game shows which subjected the contestants to outrageously horrendous tasks. He did so with very pithy commentaries, a likeable man.
He wrote a column in the weekend Guardian for several years, and latterly he kept his readers au fait with his terminal illness until about a year ago he stopped.
A brave man and as I say, likeable and funny.
RIP

He did an interview with Stuart Maconie on Radio 6 the other day, didn't sound well but was in good spirits. Worth a listen to.

Margarita Pracatan was hilarious but she was beaten to it about a hundred years ago by Florence Foster Jenkins

I'm sure that Margarita knew what was going on in Clive James' show.

p.s. If you want to hear QOTN done properly:

Oops - thread drift - sorry.

He also gave the best description of Arnold Schwarzenegger I have heard.
"A brown condom stuffed with Walnuts"
