Epson V600 Scanner problem

Anybody know anything, please?

I found another stash of old slides this arvo and intend(ed) to post a few on here BUT!

The scanner is putting a vertical green stripe on the scanned images so before I scan a heap more slides thought that one or other of you clever people might have some advice as to what is wrong or how to fix it. See the sample pic below.

Any suggestions welcome before I scan any more slides, please.

Problems like this are often due to dust in the calibration area of the scanner.

Thanks Jim.
I will try that.
Regards
Geoff

EDIT:
Even better Jim.
Just cleaned all the glassware - works a treat (now). Thanks again.
Geoff

No problem Geoff.
I have two scanners in work that can play up until cleaned.
Don't thank me, thank Google

Bloody outback, #1 you are high and dry and #6 you are afloat and under way.
I hope you have a NAABSA clause in your charters.
Where did all this water come from? Were many Outback Opal Hunters, Aussie Gold Hunters and Outback Truckers drowned? If so Discovery Channel will have a big hole in its schedule. What will I watch between 14.00 and 16.00?
