Hello Paul
I am an occasional visitor to Ships Nostalgia, you enquire about the Comliebank, I have been researching a sister ship to her the Earl of Dunmore, b.1891, I have some info on the Comliebank, including a full description of her quarters under the poop, she was involve in the rescue of part of the crew of a Norwegian barque in Aug 1900 off Cape Horn, I am currently looking for a report on that incident. If you are interested please let me know. Joseph Kay

Sailing ship Comliebank

Here is a photo of the Comliebank from the company archives...

Incidentally, her successor, a motor ship built in 1924 sailed around, and around the world for 35 years unbroken, right through WW2 and beyond in the service of the Bank Line. A true stalwart of the oceans.
