HMS Nimrod - 1915

In WW1 my grandmother's brother was on the destroyer, HMS Nimrod from 25th August to 7th November 1915. According to family history, sometime during that period he ended up injured in the water and was picked up by the Germans who did a pretty good job of patching up his head wound before repatriating him. I have not been able to find any online record of the Nimrod taking part in enemy action during that time. Can anyone offer up any ideas as to where I can find out what might have happened?

Hello.........

The only action i can find for the period concerning the name "Nimrod" is.......

"Friday Sept 10th 1915"

NIMROD, 51/1892, W H Podd, Lowestoft-reg LT489. Sunk by UB.16 (Hans Valentiner), 45 miles E by S of Lowestoft, Suffolk (+L/un)

Doubtless this is a co-incidence, but H.M.S. Nimrod seems to have been a "good draft".........i.e.........had an uneventful war and went to scrap.

Had it been Valentiner who had sunk him.........he would have been unlikely to have survived the encounter.

Best regards..........
