I'd be delighted to purchase a copy.

The app version is good, but I prefer the feel of a book.

I was surprised to spot a photo of myself on p220 on the Br Admiral. 50 years on my hair is as thick as it was then, but needs an application of Grecian 2000 to restore the colour!

Delighted to see they made the essential correction in my status in Chap5. If you do get printed copies done, yours will be the only correct hardcopies in the world!

I dont know if there might be copyright issues perhaps??

John Ridgeway's email suggested that it could be independently printed, I'll check to be sure before I commit though. Could one of the lucky recipients confirm the page size please, and also what is on the cover?

Thinking about it print on demand might be a better way to go, I'll pm Bob (Shipbuilder) as he is experienced in this.

Somewhere in amongst the longrunning discussion here running up to the centenary someone mentioned another book produced for a previous anniversary. Does anyone know anything about that?

I already have:
Our Industry http://www.abebooks.co.uk/book-search/title/our-industry-petroleum/author/british-petroleum-company/ which was published in 1958 and i think updated in the 1970s.

BP Tankers, by Solly and Harvey, 2005. http://www.amazon.co.uk/BP-Tankers-Group-Fleet-History/dp/1861762518 which is a great browse.

I've a copy of the 1950's version and it's a 2 inch thick book which is divided into chapters which covers the history of the company, the oil exploration and extraction process as well as the various business units. Effectively a thorough beginners guide to BP.

My copy is a 1977 version, out of a charity shop for £1, a good buy.

Correction to my original list, the edition of Our Industry that I have is the 2nd edition from 1949, and the first edition was 1947. They seem to be easily found for low prices via Abebooks.

I was told that all invitees who couldnt attend would get the set, so I am glad to hear they are going out now. Dont forget to put a note on "my page" to remind future readers that I was not an engineering cadet!
