Ayeeshia Jane Smith RIP

Last night I was wondering if I have should have a drink before I headed for my bunk, I had been without a drink for a couple of weeks due to illness, however that afternoon my doctor had given me good news that I seemed to be on the mend as the antibiotics
have done the necessary. I told him I would have a drink that night to celebrate. However when the BBC news came on they showed a picture of little Ayeeshia, having heard the details of her suffering her
little face disturbed me so much I realised there could be no pleasure
having drink. I remembered the countless times I'd packed my back and gone back to sea for longer periods than I would have chosen, however never ever did I feel concerned about my children's wellbeing as I knew they were in the care of a loving mother. Sadly this little one was not so fortunate. I went to YouTube and played a slow air that James Scott Skinner composed after observing a mother tending to a very sick child, it's called "The Cradle Song", I played it for a child who was beyond hearing and now beyond pain, I thought the music appropriate to my mood. The guilty are to be sentenced next week. May she rest in peace in death that eluded her in life.
As my laptop is in for it's mot I used my new iPad which has found I have learning difficulties, so please excuse disjointed lines and failure to post Scott Skinner url.

Ghastly. If we could ask Ayeesha whether, despite having such degenerate and unworthy parents, if she wanted release from this veil I wonder what she would have said. I hope they will be allowed to do away with themselves and that they feel obliged to do so.

What about those put to death as a method of lazy contraception? Not much difference between not asking and not being able to answer.

What was disturbing to learn from a researcher on BBC that the Social Services are overwhelmed with cases of children at risk, due to lack of funding they are unable to cope. That child had been deemed at risk, taken into care at a foster home, where she thrived, unfortunately she was returned to her mother, Social workers are often condemned, damned if they do and damned if that don't. Councils who squander cash needlessly, like mine here in Edinburgh who spend many thousands on fireworks to celebrate, while social services are starved of cash have a lot to answer for and the cries and tears of too many children are unheeded. One TVs commentator remarked that this case was the tip of the iceberg.

And should she wish an early checkout she should be obliged. Humanely of course unlike the exit she arranged for her own child.

But those wishes, understandable, depress our humanity without improving anything. Let them choose to go. If they don't then keep them humanely. Not for their sakes but for ours.

(I really believe execution would be more humane as well as just but there is so much political opposition it won't happen).

As shall the fellow inmates. There will be a lot of time spent in solitary for their own protection.

This is a trial and as yet no-one has been found guilty, I just hope justice is served on the perpetratotors.
