Hey there,

After the site was moved to the cloud, this was one of the issues that we encountered.
We're aware of this issue and the tech team is looking into it.
We'll keep you posted here once it is resolved.

So sorry for the inconvenience,

Ed

The gallery may well be back up, but with fewer photographs. For instance, if I search on S.A.Langkloof, or Mobil Astral the results are missing a few pictures that I have posted.

I always thought clouds were the province of meteorologists.

Methinks that Ed has somewhat jumped the gun.

But then again perhaps the words 'should be' should be taken literally.

My Gallery now does not have any images.

They are still out there somewhere.

Except for four of my favourite images, when before there were many.

A quick glance at the number of photos in any category shows the issue is far from resolved. Cargo & Passenger Ships photos were into many, many thousands. Now look at the numbers. A couple of days ago, only a few images from 2005 were showing up. Today, if I click on the Passenger Ships, it says there are no photos in that category. I figure it'll get sorted out someday. Meanwhile, I get my fix over at SeaTheShips. :-)

Interestingly, the screencapped photo I uploaded as an attachment to show those numbers itself does NOT show up. It showed in the preview, but not in the post. Oh well.

I am guessing that some brave soul is beavering away to restore the gallery, category by category. If you look at the Tanker category, it appears to be just about normal. However our hero doesn't appear to have reached the Marine Radio, Navaids and Electronics category yet (q.v.) - only two pics visible out of the claimed content of 689.

Not quite normal... nothing later than 2005.... in any category. Long way to go.

Just a thought but are the 2005 dates "genuine" or is it default? I know large numbers of photos are still missing (Including mine so I can't verify or otherwise any dates)

Seem to be genuine. The 'comments' are right dates.

For what it's worth. Out of curiosity, since I don't, normally, go into the gallery I pressed the button and it seems to be working fine.

Ah! I'm sorry, I should have read the thread. It's not getting in that's the problem, but the content. I wouldn't know about that.

My mistake. Sorry.

Have just looked for a photograph of Clan Line's Perthshire of the 1940s - a very well known ship.

The Gallery says that no record is held, which cannot be right.

I see images like that, but when I select "My Images", a message appears telling me that there aren't any. This is totally wrong because they are there somewhere. None of the images currently displayed are from a year later than 2005. Read this thread, and the others, again, and please try to keep up.

Yes we can see that page - It supposedly shows recent pictures - They are all from year 2005 and have not altered since the supposed restoration claimed by your colleague.

Yesterday I checked categories - some showed pictures some gave a 'no record found' message.
Earlier today I carried out the same exercise - None showed any pictures at all.
Just now I tried yet again - Most showed a few pictures from year 2005.
Even access to a basic search seems to vary hour by hour.

My own pictures are not accessible

There are three 'random pictures from the gallery' at the head of the forum page - click on them and I am told they do not exist.

Surely you have a system of pre-testing and monitoring to check whether the web-site is working without having to ask members what they are seeing.
