The final Tyne-class lifeboat on station, RNLB Annie Blaker (ON1153) will be replaced at Wicklow on February 24th 2019 by a relief Shannon-class boat (pending Wicklow receiving its own Shannon). This brings to an end just over thirty five years of service by Tyne-class boats.
a sad day...….beautiful boats with an engine sound that surpasses all others.i shed a few tears when our own boat sailed down the channel from Fleetwood 3 years ago.
