Hi,
I am new to the forum. Commodore Gerald Barry was my Grand-Uncle. Has anyone heard of him? He was born in Cork and served over 48 years at sea.
Thanks!

I knew Gerald Barry when he was Commodore master of the B&I ships on "Leinster" during the 1960 's and 70's. He was a bluff Irishman and popular with the passengers. He lived in Heswall . He passed away ironically on the night following his retirement do.
