hi,Andy,Good to see another old-timer.Me,at 82 felt a little lost on here for a while. Most of the chat is a bit after my time.Old wartime tramps and all that nonsense.Still,I reckon this is a great site.I visit most days. Was thinking about talking about good feeders.Maybe I will. All the best.Pierhead jumper.

Hello Andy, welcome. My first ship was a trooper but that was the Dunera in 1956, a bit late perhaps but you might have come across her?
I was just 17 but even so a Radio Officer and it was a bit unnerving at times when I had to go down to the troops quarters with telegrammes, as I went in and out the guards would salute me! I did my best to return the salute having seen it done on the cinema in Hartlepool.....

Ahoy Andy,

Welcome aboard, enjoy yourself on this fine ship and her crew, as we do; looking forward to your postings.
From Holland

Btw...respects for your contribution at your age, wish I could do the same in about 20 yrs.
