Beginning to reminisce

Just found the site whilst searching for pictures of ss Culross. Joined Marconi in 1956 as youngest RO, trawlers winter 1959 and then BP tankers until 1963.

More TR stuff

Marconi ships were 1956 Shaw Savill 'Mataroa', 1956 Prince Line 'Tudor Prince' then two years tramping on Salvesen 'Culross'. Winter 1959 Iago trawlers, 'Red Hackle' and 'Red Gauntlet'. Got a "Dear John" so joined BP Tankers, 'British Resource', 'British Peer', 'British Viscount'. Left in 1963 to do aircraft simulators with Royal Navy 801 Buccaneer squadron. Got into electrical systems design with British Aerospace and became Chief Project Designer on Tornado program. Retired from aircraft industry in 1991 as Head of Business Development for Tactical Training. Since then been running businesses involved with military training.
