Walter Becker - Steely Dan

One half of that Bluesey Rock band - the other being Donald Fagan.
Rest peacefully and thanks for giving us that great album 'Gaucho' back in the 80's l love every track on it.
Sincerely
Lamby

Yes trail blazers in their day, other bands nowhere near as good got more recognition than Steely Dan did.

Would have said 'Jazz Rock' myself; you ever heard 'Aja' and 'Deacon Blues'?

At 68, far too young.

Pretzel Logic was one of the few albums I ever bought unheard, didn`t need too I knew what I was going to get, superbly crafted songs.I used to wonder why they band changed so many times not realising that the majority were session men. They`d record the same track over and over again with different guitarists until they got a sound they liked. There`s an album somewhere of the unreleased versions.Jeff Baxter for me,mind you Denny Dias is no slouch either.
