Question Any Dynamite Boys Left

This looks like fun. Looking for any ex I.C.I. Noble,s Shipmates from
70-71 out of Irvine. I was on Lady Mcgown also Lady Roslin way back

Hi Jig,

Welcome to the site - lots to see and some good craic here!

I have never heard of dynamite boats before - is it what it sounds like - boats to transport explosives around? If so I am sure you will have a few interesting stories to tell - close shaves maybe?

Certainly remember those boats.
We used to load explasives from them in Milford Haven before setting of to West Africa. That was before the oil terminal was built.
Suppose the thinking was that if anything untoward happened (i.e. an explosion) it would not do much damage to the area. The ships crews, well there were more from the pool.
