XNView

Of all the graphics viewers that I've come across, this is one I've come to know and love. It's called XNView.

Why not give it a try?

I've been using xnview for a number of years... it really is a good viewer (and perfect once you have set the various options up to your own tastes). The image editing in it is a bit rough, so I wouldn't advise using it for that purpose... although you can't really go wrong with cropping.
I often use xnview to go through my memory card to quickly evaluate the images (and 4gb of images is a lot to go through), deleting the poor ones as i go.
It's free, which is always a big bonus
