Hi from South Wales

Hi all,

I've joined the forum in the hope of finding out a little more about the ships my Dad, William 'Bill' Phillips crewed during his time in the Merchant Navy in the latter part of WW2.

Dad passed away back in '99 but I have some of his old papers including 2 records (1 official and the other a record he made a couple of years later) the list of his ships is as follows:

SS Ramava (MOWT for Estonia)
RMMV Highland Brigade (RM Line)
SS Esperance Bay (Shaw Savill & Albion Line)
MV Benedict (Bibby Line)
SS Ile de France (MOWT for France)
SS Samoa (Alfred Holt for MOWT)
MV Pardo (RM Line)

I'd be interested in any information any one can give me.

Best regards
Ant

Smile Welcome

Ant,

On behalf of the SN Moderators, a warm welcome aboard from the Isle of Anglesey.
You will thoroughly enjoy the SN experience and hopefully someone will be able to help with your query – in the meantime have a good look around.
