    ****. 447t. Built Bergen 1856 by Ananias Dekke for the emigrant trade to the US. Some fast crossings, but too small to compete with the best. Lost on Middle Sands by Harwich in 1879. Painting done by me according to material supplied by the Maritime Museum in Bergen.

    Once ''The fastest thing afloat''. Built in Greenock 1865 by Robert Steele. 852t. Every book on the clippers has a large chapter devoted to her. She was lost without trace in 1872. Picture made by me according to plans and other information by David McGregor.
