This view of Southampton, taken from the air, dates to 1925; and it shows the three Cunard Liners Aquitania, Mauretania, and Laconia together in the Ocean Dock. The White Star Liner Homeric is seen in the Harland and Wolff Trafalger drydock in the background.
SN's own Harley Crossley painted this view of famous North Atlantic liners gathered at Southampton at some time during the late 1920's. Present are, Aquitania, Berengaria, Homeric, and Olympic. This painting was made from a photograph posted earlier on SN. Link to photograph: http://www.shipsnost
The Aquitania and Homeric are seen at Southampton in this view from the mid 1930's. I don't know anything about cars from this era, so maybe another member can help identify the car and it's year. This picture looks like it was taken as an advertisment for the car, as it is given center stage.
Postcard sent to my Mother-in-law and her sister by there cousin in 1933 from Teneriffe, he was a cruise passenger. On the rear are two postage frankings - one for Teneriffe and one for London F.S dated 25th Aug 1933, could this be the point of entry post office, any help accepted
