    Moss Hutchison was not generally associated with the east coast UK but as modern systems gained a fierce grip so the old customs and practices disintegrated. The Makaria is seen westbound in St Margarets Bay Kent in 1977. She was a trim and tidy ship built 1972 and was 2,686 gr tons.

    MAKARIA and her sister MELITA were completed in 1972 by Hall Russell at Aberdeen for Moss Hutchison. In her first year of service, this was taken in Govan drydocks in 1973. She was scrapped in 1997 as LOS TEQUES
