Bibby Line's 1929 Glasgow built STAFFORDSHIRE was here photographed inside Avonmouth Docks, probably outward bound, prior to 1959 when her name was corrupted into the Japanese STAFFORD MARU for the voyage to Sakai where she arrived on 25th November 1959 to be broken up.

STAFFORDSHIRE was employed on Bibby Line's service between UK to Burma from 1964 until finally arriving at Hong Kong on 6.3.71 to be broken up.

A shot from the foredeck of Bibby's "Staffordshire" early in the morning of the departure of "Berge Sund" after the latter had completed her transfer of butane and propane. I think the "Berge Sund" had come from Sullom Voe - she did only a part discharge into "Sta
