    Admittedly - they do look a little concerned. The cross channel ferry Sussex was torpedoed on 8. April 1916. In spite of a large part of the foreship being blown away, she kept floating and was eventually towed into Boulogne. Some of the lifeboats were launched, but at least two of them capsized. a
