An old postcard picture of the Liverpool-Belfast ferry, Ulster Prince.
This was the first ship I was ever on, as a ten year old boy going to visit relations in Northern Ireland. This was when I learned what seasickness was!

The Belfast Steamship Co's "Ulster Prince", did a nightly run Liverpool-Belfast, in tandem with sistership "Ulster Queen" .
The blurb on reverse of the card reads;

Remember this one well. Interdused me to the sea. Going to Belfast it was so rough , I was so sick I said never again will I go near a ship. It wasn't long untill I did.
I think it was 1947. I was 11 years old.
