Google Adblock and then download and run it. Make sure the site is a genuine one and not one that mimicks Adblock.

In addition to ADBLOCK, recommend you also download and add GHOSTERY. With these two very effective tools you should eliminate all intrustive advertisements.

Just tested it - the link above fails but try this:

It is browser specific but will detect which browser you are using and offer the correct download.

It is free but if you like it then you can give a voluntary donation.

Down side is that some websites will block you if you are blocking them so needs to be disabled to view those sites.

I have been using Ad Remover, excellent program, NO Ads or Pop Ups anymore. However its not a free program.
