I dont think thats the Andania of the mid 60s ,for she had a raised poop & no 3 hold was a jungle of topping lifts & guys .She also had winch islands between the hatches if my memory serves me right.

It's not the ANDANIA of the mid 60s. See the first post in the thread and all will be revealed!!
Cunard had four of these former "Clipper" class ships - ALAUNIA, ALSATIA, ANDANIA and ANDRIA. They were acquired (along with other larger reefers) from Maritime Fruit Carriers when that concern had their garage sale.

Any idea when the picture was taken ? I was on her in '77 and we went
to Constanza (amongst other places).

hi malcon i know this is a post you mightend see due to how old this thread is whoever i hope this finds you well i am a student in waterford ireland doing a family research project on my grandad(malachy power) who claims he was working on this ship for a short period of time between ireland and new york whilst he never claimed working on this exact ship he deos claim to have worked on a ship named the andonia which due to speach issues i narrowed it down to the andania to 4th one in cunards fleet i was wondering if you would know where i would be able to find crew logs or either port of calls for either ship all other help welcomed kind regaurds noah power
