AP Moller and Companies have made a $600m+ offer for ADSTEAM. The offer is for the OZ and UK Tug Boat companies.

They are getting bigger by the day. Then they were no more, just like P&O.

That's interesting, here's a picture of the Adsteam Keelby in Grimsby recently.
The vessel on the right (Sun Thames) was having her name burnt off.

Blair,

I think you will find Moller having a completely different attitude to management then P & O ever had.At least they have Mariners in the company taking decisions.

It seems to achieve the ultimate monopoly, Maersk have embarked on a policy now of buying the services to support it - then have preferential use of them. Here in NZ they have covertly helped port companies upgrade (like Port Otago's new container crane) in exchange for preferential berthing rights. Perhaps they may lend a couple of dollars to help with the Panama Canal expansion.

Must be a while since you went through the PanCan. Every chamber is marked with blue lines on which are written Maersk southbound or Maersk northbound. I think Maersk are well ahead of you on this one.
