I have published a new article in my blog "Wanted on Voyage" detailing the first full cir***navigation world cruise by Cunard's R.M.S. LACONIA in November 1922 under charter to American Express Co.

This also includes a full description of LACONIA and her ensuing career as a trans-Atlantic liner and cruise ship in the U.S. and U.K. market as well as her war service, leading up to her tragic loss in September 1942.

Peter,

Sorry for not writing back. Was busy with 'Fiona'. She is dead and buried.

Outstanding feature on this Cunard 'star' LACONIA. What a way to make a world cruise. The only thing that was missing? AIR CONDITIONING! Apart from the, the ship was stunning. One little piece in my collection of memorabilia.

Well done Sir!

Stephen
